Admission criteria
This program is excluded from the OP 1 to 6 Guarantee. Due to the competitiveness of this
program special entry schemes including the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) do not apply
and Griffith students may not apply for the Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science
program by submitting an internal transfer.
Selection for admission to an undergraduate degree is made on the basis of academic merit.
Selection for admission is competitive as the number of applicants generally exceeds the
places available. The minimum requirement for eligibility for admission is completion of
Year 12 of secondary school or equivalent academic achievement.
Prerequisites for admission may be specified in terms of levels of achievement in particular
Year 12 subjects. Prerequisite conditions may be satisfied by other study or experience which

is considered to be equivalent to the Year 12 prerequisites.
Students apply for admission through Queensland Tertiary Admission Centre (QTAC) or
Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) (NSW and ACT). The QTAC, ATAR or GPA score
is used to rank students.

4. What is the UMAT cut-off score for interviews?
UMAT is not used as a selection tool.

5. How are personal statements used in the selection process?
Personal statements are not used as a selection tool.

6. How is work experience placement used in the selection process?
Work experience is not used as a selection tool.

Yours sincerely
