MINUTES OF THE EXTRA ORDINARY MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LISMORE
HELD IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS ON MONDAY, 8 MAY 2017 AT 6.00PM

recorded in the draft minutes are subject to the Council’s Code of Meeting Practice in relation to
rescinding decisions.

People and Workplace Development, Manager Development and Compliance, Community

10.1 Lismore Lake Pool
On submission to the meeting the MOTION was DEFEATED.
1. Council note and receive the Planit Concept Design & Feasibility Assessment
Lismore Lake Pool Redevelopment;
2. Council include in the LTFP $2,751,000 in 2020/2021 for the construction of the
Lismore Lake Pool, to be funded from available operating funds;
3. Council include $160,000 ongoing from 2021/2022 for associated operations and
maintenance costs to be funded from Council’s recurrent operations.

1. Council note and receive the Planit Concept Design and Feasibility Assessment
Lismore Lake Pool Redevelopment;
2. That the proposed redevelopment of the Lismore Lake Pool as outlined in the report
not proceed and not be funded
3. Council include in the LTFP $450,000 in 2018/19 to demolish the pool
4. Council include $30,000 ongoing from 2018/19 for associated maintenance costs.
5. Council budget $50,000 in 2018/19 to develop a strategic plan for the recreational
use and habitat management of the lake precinct to be implemented in 2019/20"
