We refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 received 
by email on Tuesday 13 July 2021.  Your request has been allocated reference number FOI 03/21. 
 
We have taken your request to be for:  
 
  “…all internal documents held [by the] VRB in relation to the ban on face to face meetings at the 
VRB for veterans”   
and 
  “…all documents internal and external (where held by the department) that relate to the refusal 
of a gentleman in Brisbane with a hearing difficulty being able to have his matter heard for the 
past two years due to the restrictions and how the board has attempted to comply with the 
Disability Discrimination Act.”  
for the period 1 January 2019 to 10 July 2021. 
 
We received your request on Tuesday 13 July and the 30 day statutory period for processing your 
request commenced from the day after that date.  You should therefore expect a decision from us by 
Thursday 12 August.  The period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third parties or for
