Dear Federal Court of Australia,

Under the FOI Act I request access to correspondence, including emails, between Warwick Soden and Sia Lagos,
from 1 March 2018 and 31 December 2018, about the classification and re-classification of the “National Judicial
Registrar & District Registrar QLD – SES1” position.

I also request access to correspondence between Warwick Soden and Sia Lagos, between the dates 1 March 2018
and 31 December 2018 in relation to the recruitment of the person who was selected for the “National Judicial
Registrar & District Registrar QLD – SES1” position (even if the position was demoted from SES1 – see Top judge
warned of registrar overhaul published in the Australian on 10 February 2022).

I also request the role review assessments that would have been provided to the Australian Public Service
Commission given that acting assistant commissioner Kate McMullen concluded that “the role review process … had
resulted in certain positions being found suitable for either (classification)”.

There is a public interest in providing access to the correspondence and the role review documents as Justice
Greenwood of the Federal Court accused both Warwick Soden and Sia Lagos of obfuscation (Mr Soden did make
false statements to Justice Greenwood about the powers of the Australian Public Service Commissioner’s
representative) and there is a lot of FOI requests on this website that would suggest that Ms McMullen made errors
while conducting her investigation.

The correspondence can be provided to me by email.

Yours faithfully,

Margaret A
