I refer to your request of 28 November 2022 for access to the following under the Freedom of Information 
Act 1982 (FOI Act): 
I request all correspondence between you and the Assistant Treasurer relating to the Government's policy 
on the amendment proposed by Senator Nick McKim on the Financial Accountability Regime Bill 2022. 
 
I am not seeking drafts of the above documents. 
 
I am authorised to make FOI decisions on the Treasurer’s behalf.  
I am satisfied that, after reasonable search, the Treasurer is not in possession of any documents in the scope 
of your request. I have therefore decided to refuse your request under section 24A of the FOI Act on the 
ground that relevant documents do not exist. 
Advice on your rights of review in this matter is attached.

RIGHTS OF REVIEW 
 
Application to the Information Commissioner for review of a decision 
 
Section 54L of the FOI Act gives you the right to seek a review of the decision by the Information 
Commissioner. 
 
An application for review must be made within 60 days of receiving the decision. 
 
Applications for review must: 
 
 
be in writing; 
 
give details of how notices must be sent to you; and 
 
include a copy of the notice of decision.
