Leonard Anderson made this Government Information (Public Access) request to University of Western Sydney

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Leonard Anderson

Dear University of Western Sydney,

I Leonard John Anderson hereby request all complaints made in relation towards the social group "The Men's liberation Front for Truth and Justice" which later became "Western Sydney University (WSU) Sceptic's Society". I also request all complaints concerning and in relation to the founder and president of this social group Leonard John Anderson, student number 17059477.

I Leonard John Anderson have had a total of four meetings in relation to said mentioned complaints, I've met with Mr Paul Clarke (Community services Manger), Mr Adam Byrnes (director of campus safety and security), Mr Matthew Dakin (Acting/Associate director of campus safety and security) and Mrs Ellen Brackenreg (vice chancellor).

During these meetings, I've been given very little information regarding the complaints made against myself and that of my group. I have been repeatedly told that I'm harming the reputation of WSU and during my last meeting with the Vice-chancellor I was informed that I could be held responsible for the violation of WSU student code of conduct for the speech and opinions of others. Let me clarify, if I don't censor the written comments of others on my group's social media platforms, and these comments happen to violate the student code of conduct at WSU I was informed that I will be held responsible.

I have informed all those parties involved that I and my group are dealing with a large assortment of disingenuous and deceitful individuals and groups that have on a number of occasions either threatened myself personally or have threatened to have my group and those within it expelled from Univeristy.

Let me make this request perfectly clear, I Leonard John Anderson am not requesting the personal information and identification of any sort from the complainants, I only wish to attain the body and the dates of the complaints as I now feel the need to consult legal council. I have lost all confidence in the ability of those above mentioned to investigate these complaints.

From what little information I have attained, some of these complaints are serious enough to warrant criminal prosecution, and yet I'm not being informed of any investigation to either convict or clear my name and that of my group. Since any number of this complaints are warrant enough to at least have me expelled from university, the question remains, why is my social group being disabled for large periods of time and why do I still remain on campus? If I've been cleared of any wrong doing I wish to be informed and not have to suffer extended periods of disabled group purgatory.

Yours faithfully,

Leonard John Anderson,17059477

Dear Mr Anderson,

Indeed I am. While I had intended to issue your information last week,
illness and competing matters prevented me from doing that.
I expect to have your information issued tomorrow.  You should get another
e-mail from me tomorrow to confirm that.

Regarding collection
Since this information fundamentally contains your personal information, I
will require you to collect it personally with a proof of identity at the
point of collection.
You could collect it from me at Werrington North, in that capacity, or I
can arrange for collection from another campus by arrangement with another
staff member.  That would take some additional time since I would have the
package sent to that campus.  Let me know your preference.

Regards,

Peter Spolc
