All documents that in any way are relevant to workers compensation
information in regards to workers compensation in Western Australia
including workcover, medical reports written on behalf of lawyers and all
legalities covering workers compensation.

 

Pursuant to section 12(1)(b) of the FOI Act (WA) 1992 an access
application must:

 

·         Give enough information to enable the requested documents to be
identified

 

WorkCover WA requires clarification of your scope as it requests access to
a broad range of documents either relating to yourself or third parties.
WorkCover WA encourages you to review your request and determine the types
of documents you seek access to with regard to the subject matter and your
application specifically:

 

1.       Access to personal or non-personal documents

It is not clear in your application whether you seek access to your own
personal information or information about third parties. Please clarify
whether your request seeks access to your own information, for example
workers’ compensation claim results, dispute management applications
and/or agreement records.

 

If your access request does not relate to your own personal information,
please provide detail to the types of documents you are seeking access to
in relation to ‘workers compensation information’, ‘medical reports’ and
‘all legalities covering workers compensation’.

 

2.       Date Range

The nature of your request indicates that your application is extremely
broad. No indication of any specific date ranges has been provided for the
documents sought.

 

The following are ways in which the scope of your Application can be
clarified:

·         Specify the types/categories of documents sought;

·         Specifying a date range for the documents sought; and

·         Clarifying what documents are essential to you and which are
not, and excluding the latter from the scope.
