Phillip Sweeney

Dear Australian Prudential Regulation Authority,

One of the documents in the Exhibits List of the Hayne Royal Commission is a letter to Greg Tanzer of ASIC dated 22 July 2016 [Exhibit 5.47] from Andrew Hagger, Chair, National Wealth Management Services Ltd and Nicole Smith, Chair, NULIS Nominees (Australia) Ltd. Both companies are subsidiaries of National Australia Bank (NAB).

The following is an extract

"3.9 Our recent successor fund transfer ("SFT") represents the single largest simplification initiative in the history of NAB's wealth management business.

3.10 The SFT was undertaken in consultation with APRA with whom we engaged in detail ........"

The document I seek is a letter from APRA approving the purported merger of five funds, their assets and members (including beneficiaries) into the MLC Super Fund.

If there is no "Approval Letter" as such then I am seeking a copy of all letters and emails

from APRA to NAB/NULIS concerning the "consultation with APRA" mentioned in evidence provided to the Hayne Royal Commission.

Yours faithfully,

Phillip Sweeney
