Dear Bankstown City Council,

We represent Hoyts Cinemas in relation to an application to the Office of Liquor Gaming and Racing for the Hoyts Cinema at 63 The Mall Bankstown (Lot 4 DP 773698). The OLGR has requested that we provide a copy of the DA for the site which is relevant to its current use. We are instructed that the work was completed on the site around 1990, so the DA/s would have been around 1988 or 1989.

Our client has not been able to locate a copy of the relevant DAs, and discussions with Bankstown Council suggest that the actual copies of the DAs were destroyed by a fire at the Council in around 1997.

The OLGR requires us to provide them with either a copy of the DA/s or a letter from Council confirming that the council's copies of the DA/s were destroyed by that fire. Council advised that it was necessary for us to make the formal FOI request.
