Costs associated with the Pacific Adventurer incident 2009

Australian Maritime Safety Authority did not have the information requested.

Dear Australian Maritime Safety Authority,

I have come up with the solution to problem of shipping containers being lost overboard during rough seas from rough weather. This solution would have prevented this incident that occurred in 2009 where 31 containers were lost overboard and the subsequent damage to the hull where 270 tonnes of fuel oil was spilt.

In order to present my case to appropriate investors and organisations, I need accurate figures that I can quote, indeed, you may be interested in this yourselves.

The basic facts that I would like are:

overall, how much did this incident cost the hong kong owners, including ship repairs, fines, their donations to the clean up required, down time from the repairs and investigations, insurance claims from these losses including the lost cargo, owners of the shipping containers, and possibly the bad P.R. that would have resulted.

I know that the ship has since been renamed and sold on to try to remove the stigma of this incident...

The total cost itemised into these categories would be ideal, as I believe this would be in excess of over a hundred million dollars total, and possibly close to a half a billion dollars, but I don't have any proof, just basic estimates based on research that I've done over the last 5 years...

I think that my developments and solution to this problem would be in your best interests, and it also has the potential for royalty revenue in the vicinity of 75 million dollars annually.

Thank you - any and all info would be greatly appreciated.

Yours faithfully,

Cheval Sauer
