Brett Wilson made this Freedom of Information request to Defence Science and Technology Organisation

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Defence Science and Technology Organisation should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Defence Science and Technology Organisation FOI Officer,

On 18 Nov 20120, I received an email from Sarah Toaldo Director Defence Science Communication | Media and Communication Branch where she responded to an email I sent to your organisation ( Hazard Management Branch) regarding the N95 Face Mask being issued as ancillary equipment to a soldiers CBRN kit, which I appreciate her response .

However, I am now requesting IAW the FOI Act, that DSTO provide a copy of the following documents if they exist:

a. any documents, tests or studies it has in its archives or on record, that relate to N95/P2 PPE Face Masks being used in a Hazardous environment infected with a Biological Agent; and

b. any documents, tests or studies DSTO has in its archives or on record, that relate to N95/P2 PPE Face Masks being used or tested to protect the wearer against exposure to a biological agent, in particular Anthrax Spores and SARS-CoV-2, which may also be called 2019-nCoV, HCoV-19, and COVID-19. Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a member of the Coronaviridae family and genus beta-coronavirus that allegedly causes COVID-19 infections in humans and where airborne transmission may be possible?

Yours faithfully,

Brett Wilson
