Dear Whittlesea City Council, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 1982 can you tell me if the council employees a wildlife ranger. If the answer is yes, how many are employed by council, what hours do they work and what is their role.

Yours faithfully,

Thank you for your query regarding Wildlife Rangers at the City of
Whittlesea. Council manages domestic animals through the Local Laws
Department Animal Rangers but has no responsibilities or programs in place
for the active management of native wildlife.  These sorts of programs are
an area of responsibility managed primarily by the Department of
Environmental Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) under the Victorian
Wildlife Act (1975).
