Good afternoon Ms Barnes,

My apologies for the delay in responding to you, your request had inadvertently been mislaid within our system.

In your email dated 17 June 2016, you sought access to:

"full cost currently incurred by the Australian tax payer (per annum) in relation to Ex- Federal politicians. Please include all entitlements as well as pensions."

Section 15 of the Freedom of Information stipulates the requirements of a valid request. The request must:
(a) be in writing; and
(aa) state that the request is an application for the purposes of the FOI Act; and
(b) provide such information concerning the document as is reasonably necessary to enable a responsible officer of the agency to identify it; and
(b) give details of how notices under this Act may be sent to the applicant.

Currently the scope of your request is very broad, and therefore it is not reasonably possible to identify the document or documents you are requesting access to.
