Publicly available information

[1]Section 9 of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) defines what
constitutes a document. Section 15(1) of the FOI Act states that requests
may be made for ‘…access to a document of an agency’. At this stage, your
request is for access to information and is not a valid request under the
FOI Act. Despite this, Finance has tried to assist you where possible.

We understand that a G20 Taskforce was established within the Department
of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (PM&C) to oversee the overall policy and
operational arrangements for the G20 Summit in Brisbane in 2014.
Accordingly, we consider that any queries regarding the costs of hosting
the G20 Summit should be directed to PM&C.

Way forward

Noting that PM&C would be best placed to process any request for
documentation in relation to the costs of the G20 Summit in Brisbane in
2014, we ask that you lodge a formal request with PM&C. Information about
how to lodge an FOI request to PM&C is available at
[2]https://www.pmc.gov.au/who-we-are/accoun....
Finance will not proceed to process your request, noting the above.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Finance FOI team on the details
below if you have any questions about this matter, or the FOI process in
general.
