FOI Requests, Attorney-General's Department

UNCLASSIFIED

Dear Eddie

Thank you for your Freedom of Information (FOI) request to the
Attorney-General's Department (department) seeking access to:

documents which prove the commonwealth and state governments in Australia
have an obligation to protect the public within Australia's borders.

Your request does not satisfy the formal requirements of section 15(2)(b)
of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI Act) because it does not
provide enough information concerning the documents as is necessary to
enable the department to identify the documents you are seeking. This may
give rise to a practical refusal reason under section 24AA of the FOI Act.

I would be grateful if you could contact me on 6141 6666 or
[1][AGD request email] to discuss this request further.

Kind regards, Jon

Unfortunately, although the request is interesting, it is too vague to be a valid request. Instead of requesting specific, identifiable documents, it asks the agency to do legal research.
