Hospital performance against KPI's

Roy Elliot made this Freedom of Information request to National Health Performance Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, National Health Performance Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear National Health Performance Authority,

If possible, please treat this as an administrative or informal request. Otherwise, please consider this a request under the FOI Act.

I am trying to understand how well our hospitals (acute public health hospitals, acute private hospitals) are performing against service/quality KPIs over time (improving, getting worse, staying the same?).

I understand that HHS service agreements contain several performance KPI's and there is a fair amount of consistency in what is measured across the HHS services. I have spent a lot of time searching but cannot find recent data, or data for a reasonable length of time that would allow direct comparisons across our health economy.

Can I please request monthly (or the most granular measure) performance against KPIs for the last 5 years (to FY 15/16 I would suspect is the most recent) for all HHS in Australia. If the full national data set is not available can I please have this data set for Queensland?

If this data set is also available for private hospitals I would also like to request this data.

Yours faithfully,

Roy Elliot

Dear National Health Performance Authority,

Just wanted to check that you are able to progress with my FOI. Thanks
