Information re Social Media Annuncements & decision making processes

The request was successful.

Dear FOI Coordinator,

Under the provisions outlined in the Freedom of Information Act of 1982, I would like to request information that shines light into the decision making process for making an announcement[1] on twitter through the official eSafety account at 9:00PM Australian Eastern Daylight Time on December 9th 2021 about the release of the thematic analysis of evidence into an age verification roadmap for Australia.

This information could be; emails, internal instant messaging services, sms, memos, final documents, risk analysis, age verification road map marketing plan, internal marketing processes (including policies and/or guidelines around social engagement data in Australia, making official announcements, and what hours the eSafety social accounts are monitored), calendar invites and meeting notes.

In terms of dates, the range will be: 16th of August 2021 (eSafety calling for evidence into Age Verification) to 10th December 2021.

I'm requesting this information because of a tweet that the eSafety commissioner (Julie Inman Grant) made at 10:16PM Australian Eastern Daylight Time on December 9th 2021 on their personal account, in a professional capacity, quote tweeting [1] and stating that "...we are seeking to bring the public along too..."[2]

Please note, I have archived the commissioners tweet as they have removed[3] social media posts in the past which can make it difficult to follow up on these things.

Regards,
Eliza Sorensen
