Thank you for your request to the Department of Communications and the Arts (the Department) on 12 November 2019. Your request is for:

"..documents, reports, emails, files notes and other relevant information relating to the travel diaries and expenses claims submitted by AUDA directors James Deck and Joe Manariti to the ICANN conference in Barcelona, specifically:
- the travel diary of Deck and Manariti for travel between 10 and 28 Oct 2018 (18 days) showing 3 meetings held over the 18 days
- the expense claims of Deck and Manariti for all accommodation, meals, entertainment and expenses for the 18 days, [Extraneous Information Removed by Right to Know]
- the receipts for airfares purchased by Deck and Manariti [Extraneous information removed by Right to Know]
- the total expenditure of the travel exceeding A$35,000
- records relating to the FBT liability of A$11,000 incurred by AUDA as a consequence of this travel [Extraneous information removed by Right to Know]"

While the Department has an oversight role in relation to auDA, it has little involvement in auDA’s day to day operations and would not normally receive nor hold information relating to travel or other administrative issues.

The Department has conducted searches and has found no documents that relate to your request. We are satisfied there are no documents that meet your request.
