Phillip Sweeney

Dear Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet,

I refer to an article in the Australian Financial Review dated 26 August 2016 in which it is stated that the "Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has written directly to Bill Shorten asking him to abandon Labor's banking royal commission and instead focus on more immediate measures to hold bank chiefs to account and deliver justice to aggrieved bank customers"

The document I seek is a copy of this letter or correspondence from the Prime Minster Malcolm Turnbull to Mr Shorten dated on or around 25 August 2016 which makes reference to this topic.

Yours faithfully,

Phillip Sweeney
