This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of the Treasury,

I would know how much money the Company "Motorola Australia" received in monetary or other incentives from the South Australian and/or federal government between 1995 and 2005.
Their head office was at Mawson Lakes, South Australia at the time and I believe the Company's ABN 84 003 661 521.

Yours faithfully,

Brother Ian

FOI, Department of the Treasury

Dear Brother Ian

We would like to acknowledge receipt of your FOI request to this
department, seeking the following:

‘I would know how much money the Company "Motorola Australia" received in
monetary or other incentives from the South Australian and/or federal
government between 1995 and 2005.

Their head office was at Mawson Lakes, South Australia at the time and I
believe the Company's ABN 84 003 661 521.’

Please note, your request does not yet meet the requirements for a valid
request under section 15 of the  Freedom of Information Act 1982 (FOI
Act). The FOI Act provides a right of access to documents, rather than
information or answers to questions. The request must:

·         Be in writing

·         State that the request is an applicant for the purposes of the
FOI Act

·         Provide specific information about the documents you are
requesting, to enable the department to identify those documents

·         Give details of an email/postal address.

You are seeking  information on how much money the company "Motorola
Australia" received in monetary or other incentives from the South
Australian and/or federal government between 1995 and 2005.  It is
unlikely that the department would have a document that contained the
specifically requested information. Moreover, as a central policy agency,
the department’s role is to provide sound economic analysis and
authoritative policy advice on issues such as: the economy, budget,
taxation, financial sector, foreign investment, structural policy,
superannuation, small business, housing affordability and international
economic policy.  It is rare for the department to manage or implement
grants and other inventive programs.

On this basis, we suggest you refer your request to another agency, state
or federal, whose role might include the provision of financial assistance
to businesses. Further information about grants to business can be found
here: [1]https://www.business.gov.au/assistance.

Kind regards,

You may close this, I've handed my request to one of our Members of Parliament. He will take the matter further.
The link you provided was next to useless.
Lastly, I apologise for the misspelled word in the title is should say Monetary.
