I seek a copy of the ‘study’ delivered last year of the official portrait of former Speaker Peter Slipper.

I am also seeking any and all correspondence relating to the portrait, most notably anything relating to costs or delays.

Thank you for your email of 15 March 2016 seeking a copy of a study in relation to the official portrait of the former Speaker, Mr Peter Slipper, and related correspondence.

The information you have requested falls within several exemption categories in the DPS policy on information requests.

The policy reflects that public access to documents is subject to certain limitations to ensure that sensitive information is properly protected. The documents you have requested are exempted on the grounds that they include information subject to parliamentary privilege and confidential and/or commercially-valuable material and that they relate to the work of the House of Representatives and the Historic Memorials Committee.

Accordingly, neither the study nor the correspondence will be provided.
