Dear #GIPA,

Thank you for your courtesy and response,
clarification of updates in your legislation is noted.

May I suggest that I have previously viewed the NSW Police Force Community Portal website, with regard of this matter. The application for information requested through the site, offers only email for the recipient address and as you stated, the NSW Police Force no longer accepts email as an approved facility for the making of a valid application for information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (GIPA Act).

I respectfully ask, could you please define what is an approved facility for the making of a valid request?

Could you kindly provide a valid method and manner which is in accordance with section 41(1)(a) of the GIPA Act, and that in which would satisfy the NSW Police Force in order to obtain the information requested? Do you accept hand written applications, do you accept cash or money order for payment?

I respectfully ask, is this information being restricted? Could you kindly
provide an address that I can write by hand and post by mail to obtain the information?

Yours sincerely,

Daniel James OBrien
