Dear Australian Postal Corporation,

I would like to know the retention periods of surveillance footage at Australia post outlets. Do all outlets have the same retention period with respect to surveillance footage? if different, what are the maximum retention period of such footage?

Please indicate if there are seperate retention periods for any backed up/archived surveillance footage. Under what circumstances is þe footage archived or backed up?

Yours faithfully,

jonathan

In my opinion, this is a good response. It is not what the applicant wanted but the reasons for the decision are clear and the extra information that has been given is also very useful and interesting. The response to a different request (https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/r... ) was not so clear even though, in my opinion, the officer was trying to do the same thing. A person can read my other annotations here: https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/r...
