Dear SA Department for Education and Child Development,

Please could you provide me with Relief Staff and Agency Supply Staff spend data for the 2016 and 2017 academic years, broken down by Primary and secondary schools- for
South Australia.

Should the data be available, I would also like to receive a breakdown of spend by different recruitment agencies/companies, by school.

Yours faithfully,

Anthony Graham

For Official Use Only

Dear Mr Graham.

RE       Freedom of Information – Invalid Application

I refer to your Freedom of Information (FOI) application received by the
Department for Education on 5 April 2018, requesting access to:

‘Relief Staff  and Agency Supply Staff spend data for the 2016 and 2017
academic years, broken down by Primary and secondary schools- for

South Australia.

Should the data be available, I would also like to receive a breakdown of
spend by different recruitment agencies/companies, by school.’

The Department is unable to process your request because it is not a valid
application pursuant to section 13(c) of the Freedom of Information Act
1991 (the Act) which requires an application to be accompanied by the
prescribed fee of $34.25.

Please note that the Department for Education may request further payments
to cover the cost of finding, sorting, compiling and copying of documents,
however you will be notified in advance if any further payment is
required.

If you believe that the fees or charges would cause financial hardship and
you are able to provide documentary evidence (such as a copy of a current
Commonwealth pension card) you may request that all appropriate fees be
waived.

At this time the Department for Education only has the facility to accept
direct payment via cheque or money order, which should be made out to the
Department. If you wish to pay online, you are encouraged to resubmit your
application through the online portal for [1]SA Government FOI Requests.

Payment may be sent via post to:

Department for Education

Freedom of Information Unit

GPO Box 1152
ADELAIDE   SA   5000

Please note that processing of your application will not commence until
the application fee is provided. If no response is received from you by 24
April 2018, your application will be closed. Should you wish to request
this information again in the future, a new FOI application would need to
be submitted accompanied by the application fee.

Additional information about FOI can be found on [2]Education Website.

Please note that due to current Governmental changes, the correct email
address for Education Freedom of Information requests is
[3][email address].

Yours sincerely
