This request is an application for the purpose of the Freedom of Information Act 1982.

I would like to request of a copy of the most recent tax treaty between Australia and Israel that contains signatures from all parties involved.

Dear Chris H

 

We refer to your email of 17 December 2019 (included below), seeking
access to the following under the Freedom of Information 1982 (FOI Act):

 

‘… the most recent tax treaty between Australia and Israel that contains
signatures from all parties involved.’

 

The FOI Act provides a right of access to documents (see section 11). For
the purposes of the FOI Act, ‘document’ does not include ‘material
maintained for reference purposes that is otherwise publicly available’
(section 4). While DFAT maintains a copy of the relevant treaty for
reference purposes, we note the document is otherwise publicly available
[1]here in the form requested.

 

We trust that this satisfies your enquiry. DFAT will not take any further
action in relation to this matter.
