The percentage of cases finalised that were won in full or part by the applicant in 2019-20.

Alan ASHMORE made this Freedom of Information request to Veterans’ Review Board

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Veterans’ Review Board did not have the information requested.

Dear Veterans’ Review Board,

BACKGROUND:

For as long as I can remember the VRB Annual Report has reported on the percentage of claims that are set aside or varied, i.e. beneficial to the applicant, compared to the number of cases finalised. An example of this is where 3000 claims are finalised with 1500 decisions varied, equals 50%.

As the recently released Annual Report for 2019/20 has changed its reporting method the information I am seeking is:

: Of the 3427 cases finalized in 2019/20 what percentage of these cases resulted in the applicant winning their appeal either in full or in part?

Yours faithfully,

Alan ASHMORE
