Dear V/Line Corporation,

A few months ago, I lodged an FOI request through RightToKnow.org in relation to the Southern Cross Station Platform announcements. I was advised to contact you to ask whether it is necessary to lodge a formal FOI Request. The original wording of my request to PTV can be found below as well as a link to the full FOI request

https://www.righttoknow.org.au/request/vline_platform_announcements_sou#outgoing-19429

I would like to request a copy of all platform announcement files used at Southern Cross for V/Line services

I’d like to confirm that I will use these files for personal use only, and will remain in my sole possession.

Per the advice given on the Victorian Government’s Freedom of Information Request page, I wish to determine whether these files can be obtained: without a formal request or is publicly available, before making a formal request through the Victorian Freedom of Information Act.

It is also to my understanding that these files would not be exempt from the FOI Act.

Yours faithfully,

Rohan McMaster
