Bridgette sorry for the delay.
The statistics for the last 4 days are below. I have not particularised every offence type but
highlighted the incident types that generally give rise to a perception of anti social behaviour and
are linked to youth/drunks. Weekly and monthly there are small fluctuations in Youth
disturbances, Burgs and disturbance general but all in all things are continuing to trend
downwards.
May saw our total reported/recorded incidents hit a record 4 year low and June followed the
same pattern. Total reported/recorded incidents is everything inclusive of reported crime,
reported matters that don’t turn out to be crime such as (general disturbance or drunks) and
Police pro Active recorded incidents such as a licensed premises check or a Hot Spot patrol. Our
Pro active work has increased to about 30% now of all reported/recorded incidents. So with pro
active work increasing and total Reported/recorded incidents reducing, there is a significant
reduction from calls from the public.
We are continuing to be very active in ensuring other agencies are continuing to keep focussed
on the Core group who continue to come to our attention.

Burglaries and Old Timers village where a vehicle was stolen and later located.

The remainder were various commercial premises within town and appear linked.

Two adult offenders were apprehended after attempting to break into Flynn Drive
