As promised, please find attached a draft brief, with requests for input, for the next TPP round in Leesburg (6-15
September). The brief only covers the relevant text for the next round, namely
S33(a)(iii), S33(b)
. I propose we use this as a basis for the discussion tomorrow.
In the attached I have identified in green the areas that will be covered in Leesburg. These are in two categories:
1. Issues from San Diego on
S33(a)(iii), S33(b)
(I’ve marked as ‘review in Leesburg’, see pages 1-32). You
will see this text contains some mark-ups – these are from San Diego. For most of the highlighted issues we need to
e-mail views/positions to the IP group by 24 August. I would therefore be grateful for your advice by Wednesday 22
August.
2.
S33(a)(iii), S33(b)
, which have not been covered in some months and which will be on the agenda in
Leesburg (I’ve marked as ‘discuss in Leesburg’, see from page 33). I have not included our brief on these issues as I
wanted to just flag them at this stage. I will send the draft brief with questions next week. In terms of timing, I would
be grateful for your advice on these by Wednesday 29 August.
At tomorrow’s meeting I will walk you through each of the ‘review in Leesburg’ issues and would like to focus, in
particular, on the following (as we may need to consult with other Parties and stakeholders on them between now
and 24 August):
