Hi s47F ,
Hope you had a good break and all ready for 2021!
I would like to give you an update on the Richmond unit as it is experiencing intermittent data gaps issue (including
some hours) since deployment on the 18 Dec 2020.
The unit (2250 plus microphone) was fully replaced on the 23 Dec but still seeing data gaps. It is currently not
contactable so we have arranged contractor to re‐visit tomorrow morning.
We will keep you posted with outcome. Robert will also contact you in regards to the location of this unit – it is
not picking up 30‐50% of RNP arrival RWY 12 operations as these turning operations are about 1.7KM away from the
monitor, often they not generating enough noise above the day threshold of 55dB to create a valid event.
Below is a table of daily hourly count since deployment.

Subject: ASA/HBA ‐ CMS358422, NMT375 Richmond unit not stable
Hi s47F
Thank you for looking at NMT375 today. As per our discussion, while waiting for Denmark’s response, please go
ahead to organise for contractor to visit site to replace the unit at the earliest time. We can always cancel the visit if
there is useful information from Denmark.
Following is an image showing all the one sec data gaps from this unit since deployment from 18 Dec. The grey
areas are gaps where no events are recorded and hence won’t match to aircraft. In many cases, WebTrak is still
showing noise level for this grey gap period due to data to WebTrak is live stream of the noise level not events. This
means there will be confusion for the end users (public), it they map report a noise complaint by looking at the
WebTrak data but ANOMS won’t have events correlated to the aircraft.

Thank you for your help.

Hi s47F
Looking forward to speaking with you in about an hour re Hobart. Offers to host the STMs in Hobart closed last night
so I can now provide a list of offers which may be suitable. Attached is both a KML and spreadsheet, with contact
details for those who have offered their property.
Connellys Marsh – property under flightpath has made offer. Only suitable offer in area.
o If problems identified with site and installation can’t progress (not anticipated but just in case) –
please just focus on the properties in Connellys Marsh nearest to the flightpath.
Richmond zone – As mentioned earlier in the week, the offers received in this area aren’t preferred. Please
approach landowners in the zone initially.
o One offer from the area has been provided in the attached but should only be used as a back‐up
option, if homes in the zone refuse or residents aren’t at home to be approached.
Primrose Sands zone – There are 22 offers that may be suitable in this area. There are clear area groupings,
so I have provided all potentially suitable offers so they can be considered on the ground (and based on
resident availability).
Speak with you soon.
Kind regards

Hi s47F
Just an update on the progress of offers from the community, for sites in the Hobart area.
10
Doc 18
FoI 24-52
For Connellys Marsh, the only property in the zone has offered their property to host the NMT which is good
so I’ll ask you to install at that location.
For Primrose Sands area, there are a range of offers which look good across the zone so sourcing a site from
those options will definitely be achievable.
For the Richmond Zone, the offers so far are outside the preferred zone. Based on offers so far, landowners
in the zone will need to be approached in the first instance. If your team haven’t already looked at the
options for this zone, if you can get them to have a look please.
o I will provide the few offers that we have received which may be a back‐up, if a site in the zone can’t
be sourced.
Nomination as a potential site is open until COB Thursday, so I’ll provide a list of potentially suitable sites as soon as
possible on Friday.
For site inspections and installations, is the plan for everything to be completed next Monday (14th) or will it be
across a few days? Bridget is looking to provide an update to any landowners who’s home we have identified as
potential sites, so it would be good to understand the likely timing they can expect.
NB – All landowners have been advised that if EVS determine their property is an appropriate host, an agreement
etc will be setup by your team with them.
Let me know if you have any questions at this stage.
Kind regards
Belinda

Hi s47F
Just to confirm, we will provide confirmation of any “host” sites for the noise monitors by COB on the 10th. I’ll aim
for us to provide a few updates between now and then however.
In terms of timing impacts, this will result in the modified timings we discussed earlier this week, of:
Deployment start of the week of Monday 14th December

Primrose Sands – to avoid wind/wave impacts, its hoped a site away from the shore can be obtained.
Connelly’s Marsh is anticipated to be affected by wind. Basic weather station to capture wind (to identify
affected events) required.
o Only one collection of buildings in this zone. We are hoping landowners offers to host NMT,
otherwise targeting as close to the zone as achievable.
