I refer to your email sent on 10 July 2024, requesting access to documents under the Freedom of 
Information Act 1982 (Cth) (FOI Act). Your request is as follows: 
On 4 July at approximately 21:22, Flight QF997 from Sydney breached the NAP. I seek a 
complete transcript of the communication between Hobart ATC and the pilot of QF997. I 
want to understand why Flight QF997 used the Runway 30 RNP-AR short track when it 
should have used the Runway 30 RNAV longer track. The excuse that QF997 followed the 
short track for "operational reasons" without specifying the reason is unacceptable. 
There is a 30-day statutory period for processing your request. You should therefore expect a decision 
from us by 9 August 2024. The period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult any third 
parties and/or impose a charge for processing your request. However, you wil  be notified if this 
occurs.
