services for pre-AFL crowds on Friday nights. Under the NSP these service operate empty
to SCS, with driver and kilometre costs accounted for. There is a cost for a conductor to
operate each of these as revenue services.

Overview

The South West will see a significant uplift in weekend services from 1 December 2024
(FP64), with a 20-minute frequency between 08:00-21:00hrs.
•
The majority of weekend services will operate as 6VLs
•
The late evening services operate at a lower frequency and some currently are and are
planned to operate as 3VLs. These services have been assessed regardless of whether
they are regular AFL build-ups
•
There is no uplift to weekday services as part of FP64
•
Warrnambool services were not assessed as part of this review

Albury services are not considered as part of this assessment due to all fleet utilised and
currently managed via full reservations and coach support
