SUMMARY
June school holiday patronage/crowding analysed – informing plans for September
Note: main overcrowding issues (WBL) last holidays were due to reduced consists.
Have in place already introduced fare cap additional train services, consist build ups
Focus on operating as per planned consist, especially for longer haul. Coaches to be
implemented by IOC in event of short consist risk
Football specials will operate for semi-final (Melb v Carl), Prelim final (Coll v Port/GWS),
GF Parade and Grand Final
Albury services fully reserved for school holidays, enabling improved coach support where
required based on bookings
Bendigo additional weekend 09:44 Bendigo to Southern Cross service (to support morning
Swan Hill UP 8080) commences 16 September (first day of holidays)
Warrnambool – Altered stopping pattern for lunch time weekend services post Geelong
(not stopping Wyndham Vale or Tarneit) – no longer proceeding for this weekend. Will
assess patronage and can be reconsidered for following weekends if needed.
West Occupation – AWP occupation commences Saturday 16 September. Coaches
Bacchus Marsh to Wendouree/Maryborough/Ararat
