Thank you for your letter dated 2 April 2025 regarding a request to access documents under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the Act).
Terms of FOI request
You set out your request in the following terms:
This is a Freedom of Information Request for the functions of the Freedom of
Information Act 1982.
On 29 July 2024, the Prime Minister stated the following in a conference announcing
the appointment of the Special Envoy for Social Cohesion:
"I want him reporting directly to me about social cohesion and its important."
I seek access to all reports received by the Prime Minister from the Special Envoy for
Social Cohesion regarding his position as the Special Envoy since 29 July 2024.
Please exclude duplicates and documents already publicly released, including media
releases, reports, articles and statements to the media. Please limit emails to the final message in the chain as long as previous messages are
captured. I agree to having the names and direct contact details of non-senior staff removed,
however I request that redactions do not include non-personally identifying
information. For example, please leave the domain and job titles when redacting
email addresses or signature blocks on emails. I preemptively agree to requests for third party consultation if necessary
If a large number of documents are captured within the scope of this request that
would make it untenable, I will happily revise my request.

In reaching my decision I had regard to:
• the terms of your request
• the Act
• the Guidelines issued by the Information Commissioner, under section 93A of the Act
(Guidelines)
Documents in scope
The Office has identified two (2) documents that fall within the terms of your request.
Decision
I have decided to grant access to the identified documents in response to your request, except for
information that may reasonably be regarded as irrelevant under section 22 of the Act, including
staff names and contact details.
Review rights
If you disagree with the decision you may apply for an Information Commissioner review within
60 days from the date of this letter. The Act does not provide for internal review of a decision by
Minister.
