BACKGROUND
In 2024 the Australian National University commissioned an independent Review of matters of gender
equity and culture in the ANU Col ege of Health and Medicine. The Review was undertaken by
Professor Christine Nixon AO APM.
Professor Nixon wil present her findings to Council prior to providing the final report, which wil
include recommendations on operational matters and strategic considerations, and recommendations
for future practices to support improved culture, including in relation to gender, inclusion and equity.
Professor Nixon wil present the final report to the Provost, and a summary of her recommendations
wil be shared publicly. This wil be circulated to members separately.
