Queen’sCounselin1999.HeappearedforandadvisedFederal, Stateandlocal governmentsand
appearedinanumberoflandmarkcasesintheHighCourt,includingtheStolenGenerationslitigation.
HewasappointedAttorney-GeneraloftheCommonwealth of Australiaon1June2022.

TheHonKennethHayneACKCwasappointedtotheHighCourtofAustraliainSeptember1997,
havingbeenafoundationjudgeoftheVictorianCourtofAppeal.Heservedfor18yearsasaJustice
oftheHighCourtbeforeretiringin2015andreturningtotheBar.In2017,Hewasappointedasthe
Royal CommissionerinrespectofMisconductintheBanking,SuperannuationandFinancialServices
Industry,ultimatelyhandingdownalandmarkreportinFebruary2019.

TheHonGeoffreyNettleACKCwasappointedtotheHighCourtofAustraliainFebruary2015.
Atthetimeofhisappointment,hewasajudgeoftheVictorianCourtofAppeal,towhichhewas
appointedinJune2004.HeretiredfromtheHighCourtin2020,andthefollowingyearwasappointed
Special Investigatortoconsiderwhethercriminalordisciplinarychargesoughttobemadeinresponse
tothemattersfoundbytheVictorianRoyalCommissionintotheManagement ofPoliceInformants.
