freedom not to follow a particular

The Forgotten Freedom?
“Religious  freedom  is  not  sufficiently  protected  when  it  exists 
merely  as  a  narrow  exemption  that  is  grudgingly  accepted  in 
antidiscrimination  legislation.  This  implicitly  undervalues  the 
importance of religious freedom, with the consequence that it 
is  consigned  to  a  secondary  role  and  is  left  vulnerable  to 
removal  at  a  later  date  …  Freedom  of  religion  should  not  be 
considered as an exemption. It is a fundamental freedom that 
deserves to be protected in a positive sense.”
