I am seeking your approval to have David Fanner report to Jamie Kidston. Both Mr Fanner and Mr 
Kidston are Senior Manager 1. 
 
David Fanner’s position (Creative Producer) reports to the Director Coms and Engagements which is 
currently occupied by Steven Fanner a relative of David. 
 
Currently David Fanner is supervised by Lily Matthews who has moved to Advancement. 
 
It is best that David Fanner is supervised by a member of the Coms team as they are aware of the 
requirements of the team and day to day activities. 
 
The position of Manager Multi Media Coms and Production occupied by Mr Kidston, is the most 
suitable position to supervise the Creative Producer. 
 
It is unusual for a supervisor to be the same grade as the person supervised, however given the 
conflict of interest this is the best solution. 
 
I recommend that you approve Mr Kidston as the supervisor of Mr David Fanner.
