I refer to your request received by the Future Fund Management Agency (“Agency”) by email 
on  11  September  2025,  requesting access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 
(“FOI Act”) to documents as fol ows (the “Request”):

the Database of Business Enterprises Pursuant to Human Rights Council Resolutions

STATEMENT OF REASONS 
EVIDENCE ON WHICH MY FINDINGS AND DECISION ARE BASED 
In considering your Request, I relied on the fol owing information and documentary evidence: 
•  the Request; 
•  FOI Act; 
•  Guidelines issued by the Australian Information Commissioner under s 93A of the FOI 
Act; and 
•  information published on the Agency’s website. 
 
BACKGROUND 
The Agency was established by the Future Fund Act 2006. The object of the Future Fund 
(the “Fund”) is to strengthen the financial position of the Commonwealth of Australia by 
making provision for unfunded Commonwealth superannuation liabilities. The Future Fund 
Board of Guardians (the “Board”) is responsible for deciding how to invest the assets of the 
Fund as wel  as several other Commonwealth statutory funds. Operating independently of 
Government, the Board, supported by the Agency, manages the Fund to deliver high risk-
adjusted returns over the long term in accordance with the Investment Mandate Direction 
from Government. The Agency is responsible for all administrative and operational functions 
associated with the management of the funds invested and administered by the Board. 
DECISION 
The Board publishes Periodic Investment Reports twice a year for each of the seven funds it 
invests on behalf of the Australian Government. These reports include the investments of each 
fund as at the most recent publication date (30 June 2025).     
The Requested Information is publicly available on the Agency’s website.  
I have included a link to the relevant page of the Agency’s website in Schedule 1 below. You 
can access the Requested Information by fol owing this link. 
Disclosure log 
The Agency is required by section 11C of the FOI Act to publish information that has been 
released in response to an FOI request on its FOI disclosure log within 10 working days of 
giving the FOI applicant access to the information, subject to certain exceptions. I have 
decided that the documents produced pursuant to the Request should be published by the 
Agency on its disclosure log.
