Dear Indiana,
On 11 September 2025 the Australian National University received your request seeking
access to documents under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the Act)
.
Scope of the Request
Your request stated you were requesting:
-
the University Council agenda and briefing papers for the University
Council meeting held on or around 10th September, 2025; and
-
the University Council minutes for the University Council meeting held
on or around 10th September, 2025.
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a decision on your request for access
under the Act.

Authority to Make Decision
I am an officer authorised under section 23 of the Act to make decisions in respect of
requests to access documents or to amend or annotate records.

Decision
The relevant area of the University was contacted and a search conducted for
documents relating to the scope of your request, but no relevant paper based or
electronic documents could be located.

Because the relevant meeting was called at short notice, no papers were created.
Additionally, minutes were not available as at the date of the request.

to your request were found to exist, I have decided, as an officer authorised under
section 23(1) of the FOI Act to make decisions in relation to FOI requests, to refuse your
Freedom of Information request under section 24A(1).
