Dear Mr Foley,
Freedom of Information Request in relation to Ayers Rock Resort acquisition
I refer to your request for access to documents relating to the above matter under the
Freedom of Information Act
1982. I have taken your request to be for:
- Final versions of records about the ILSC decision to acquire Ayers Rock Resort (also referred to as Yulara or
Uluru-Kata Tjuta Resort).
- Board papers, minutes and approvals that considered or decided the purchase (1 Jan 2009 – 30 June 2012).
- Final legal, financial and operational due diligence reports, valuations, risk assessments and investment
memoranda, and any record of ministerial consultation or direction relied on.
- Any final post-acquisition review and the ILSC response.
We received your request on 12 September 2025 and the 30-day statutory period for processing your request
commenced from the day after that date. You should therefore expect a decision from us by 13 October 2025. The
period of 30 days may be extended if we need to consult third parties or for other reasons. We wil advise you if
this happens.

example, personal information wil not be published where this would be unreasonable.)
