Dear Remy E,
On 16 October 2025, the Australian National University received your request seeking access to
documents under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the Act)
.
On 14 November 2025 we advised of the need for a consultation delay, extending the processing
period for the request to 15 December 2025.
We apologise for the subsequent delay.
1. Scope of Request
I have taken your request to be as follows:
“Under the Freedom of Information Act 1982, I seek access to any and all documents held by the
Australian National University that relate to:
- All meeting requests between the Interim Vice chancellor Rebekah Brown and Senator Pocock,
including, but not limited to: calendar appointments, meeting requests, meeting briefing
documents, call logs, text messages on mobile, teams or Signal.
-Summary documents of meeting notes from meetings between Rebekah Brown and David Pocock.
- Letters, emails, formal or informal correspondence such text messages.

The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a final decision on your request for access under
the Act.
2. Authority to Make Decision
I am an officer authorised under section 23 of the Act to make decisions in respect of requests to
access documents or to amend or annotate records.
3. Searches
The relevant areas of the University, including the Vice Chancellor’s Office, were contacted and a
search conducted for documents relating to the scope of your request, but no relevant documents
could be located.
4. Decision
I am required to give you a decision on your request. Given that no documents relating to your
request were found to exist, I have decided to refuse your Freedom of Information request under
section 24A(1) of the Act.
