The Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) and Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA)
have this week signed a renewed memorandum of understanding (MoU). This signals the
strength of collaboration between government and the ICT industry.
Under the agreement, the DTA and AIIA will continue to exchange information, experiences
and expertise to achieve better outcomes for people and businesses using government
services.
DTA Chief Executive Officer Randall Brugeaud said industry plays a key role in the
government’s digital transformation journey.
“Industry has a wealth of knowledge and experience that can assist government in improving
services for people and businesses in Australia.
“Government must continue to work with industry to eliminate barriers and improve
transparency so that all businesses, regardless of size, can contribute.”
AIIA Chief Executive Officer Ron Gauci said the renewal of the MoU demonstrates the
continued commitment between government and industry to collaborate and share expertise.
“Collaboration between industry and government is imperative to drive innovation and
improve government services. The AIIA and our members look forward to continuing to
contribute to the digital transformation of government services.”
To date, the MoU has helped facilitate industry engagement and consultation for initiatives
such as digital sourcing reform, the Digital Transformation Strategy and capability
development.
The renewed MoU enhances opportunities for collaboration and continues to enable the
information industry to take an active role in delivering customer-focused improvements in
government service delivery.
