The DTA has launched a new Cloud Marketplace that will make it even easier for government
to access cloud technology and capability.

The new Cloud Marketplace has been designed to meet the complex needs of government
agencies who are looking to easily source value-for-money cloud solutions. Established
through an open approach to market, the Cloud Marketplace includes more than 300
providers selected as cloud-capable sellers to government. Its catalogue includes small-to-
medium enterprises (SME) and start-up companies as well as national and global providers.
Cloud offerings on the Marketplace are grouped within 2 procurement
categories:

The Cloud Consulting category lets buyers access cloud-based professional services using a
simple rate-card system that gives buyers greater flexibility in how those services are used.
The Cloud Services category includes various ICT capabilities offered under ‘as a service’
delivery models. To promote a common approach and ease of access, descriptions of cloud
services align with the International Standard ISO/IEC17788.
As cloud technology continues to expand and evolve, appointed sellers will be able to
showcase their capabilities and update their service offerings. The Cloud Marketplace will also
be refreshed regularly for new sellers to join.
Buyers can access the new Cloud Marketplace, as well as our other panels and marketplaces,
through the DTA’s ICT Procurement Portal (http://www.buyict.gov.au).

The Cloud Marketplace replaces the Cloud Services Panel, which expired on 31 March 2021.
Buyer and seller training sessions
Government employees involved in sourcing cloud products and services are encouraged to
attend upcoming training and information sessions
(https://cloudmp_buyertraining1.eventbrite.com.au)
on 19-20 April 2021. Presenters will
showcase the new functionalities offered by the Cloud Marketplace and answer users’
questions.
