I refer to your request for access to documents under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 
(FOI Act) received on 4 February 2026. 
  
You have requested access to: 
‘Persuant to the FOI Act, as a matter of public interest, I seek access to the number of 
solicitors referred to their relevant state / territory Law Society (eg NSW Law Society) 
for misconduct, including but not limited to, misleading the Tribunal, between the dates 
1/1/25 to 5/2/2025 and from 6/2/2025 onwards.’ 
  
We received your request on 4 February 2026 and the 30 day statutory period for processing 
your request commenced from the day after that date. You should therefore expect a decision 
from us by 6 March 2026. The 30 day period may be extended if we need to consult other 
parties or for other reasons permitted under the FOI Act.
