Freedom of Information (FOI) Request (ref 160787)
We refer to your application under the
Freedom of Information Act 1989 (ACT) (the Act) received by
the University of Canberra on 14 December 2016, for access to the following document which
relates to the research to "(d)evelop an educational disadvantage index and overlay it with socio-
economic status mapping to better identify disadvantaged students".
a copy of the report of the research and development of the index (how the research was
done, what its findings were, what the index is, etc.).
The University is required to provide you with a decision on your request within 30 days after the
date that your application was received. However, if the request relates to:
documents likely to affect relations between the Australian Capital Territory and the
Commonwealth or a State;
documents relating to a person’s business affairs, or concerning the business, commercial or
financial affairs of an organisation; or
documents containing personal information;
then the University may need to consult with other parties about those documents. In these
circumstances, the period within which the University may provide you with a decision on your
request may be extended by a further 30 days. We will contact you again if the University concludes
that consultation is required.
