FREEDOM OF INFORMATION (FOI) REQUEST
I refer to your application received by Access Canberra on 10 April 2017 in which you
sought access, under the
Freedom of Information Act 1989 (the Act), to documents
relating to:
• a list of all prohibited names which parents have tried to register their babies
as over any time period for which such a list exists; and
• or, if such a list does not exist all correspondence over the last two years in
which Access Canberra informs a person that the name that they have tried to
register their baby as is a prohibited name.
Access Canberra is now processing your request and in accordance with section 18 of
the FOI Act, we are required to provide you with a decision on access to documents
within the terms of the request within 30 days of receipt, being on 10 May 2017.
Charges
Please be aware that processing charges may be payable in relation to your request.
Should you be liable to pay a processing charge, you will be notified in writing of the
preliminary assessment and given an opportunity to make an application that the
charge should be remitted in whole or in part. This may affect the time within which
your application must be processed.
Any charges that may be payable in relation to your request will be assessed in
accordance with the Freedom of Information (Fees) Determination 2015. Further
