Freedom of Information (FOI) request - Access Decision
On 1 September 2017, the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (the Department)
received a request for access to document under the
Freedom of Information Act 1982 (the FOI
Act).
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with a decision on your request for access under the
FOI Act.

Number of visa applications lodged in subclass 189, 190, 489 and 457 by citizens of Iran
in financial years 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and 2016-2017?
Number of visas granted or visa applications refused in subclass 189, 190, 489 and 457
to citizens of Iran in financial years 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016 and
2016-2017?

In accordance with section 17 of the FOI Act, the Department has used its computer system to
produce one document that contains information that falls within the scope of your request.
The data produced in the document existed in Departmental systems on 1 September 2017
when your FOI request was received.
