Schedule of Fees and Charges
The Fees and Charges detailed below are those prescribed by Order of the Governor in Executive Council, and published 
in the Government Gazette.

Advanced Deposits 
Section 17(3) of the Act provides that where an agency estimates that the charges for dealing with an application might 
exceed the prescribed fee, the applicant is to be notified of the estimate before such costs are incurred. Should the 
applicant then wish to proceed with the application, the agency is authorised by section 18(1) of the Act to require 
payment of an advance deposit equal to 25% of the estimated charges. Should a greater amount be required to progress 
the application, the agency may require, by written notice the payment of an advanced deposit of up to and including 75% 
of the estimate charges.
Reduction of Charges 
For an applicant who is –
(a) Impecunious, in the opinion of the agency to whom the application is made; or 
(b)  The holder of a current valid pensioner concession card issued on behalf of the Commonwealth to that person, or any 
other card which may be prescribed as being a pensioner concession card under the Rates and Charges (Rebates and 
Deferments) Act 1992

– the charges payable, with the exception of the application fee, are reduced by 25%.
