Draft Resilience Strategy for Sydney
• Call to action will be for collaboration
• Resilience as a process, and a goal
Call to action will be directed at different city sectors:
• 1 resilient city
• 5 resilient districts
• 100 resilient organisations – business, government
• 100,000 ready households – ‘Get ready’ for emergencies
The draft strategy has 5 flagship and 30 supporting actions to improve 
resilience.


Next steps – 2018 transition
Moving from strategy development to delivery:
• Strategy actions now being refined
• Partners working together to define projects
• Identifying funding for actions across Sydney
• Establishing reporting processes to monitor city resilience
• Clarifying governance and role of the Resilient Sydney Office to facilitate 
and deliver the strategy.
The strategy will be released in 2018.
